9 Feng Shui Tips to Enhance Wealth and Harmony In Your Home

Did you know the Entry door is the most important door in your home? One Feng Shui tip to increase positive vibes, and invite good "chi" into your home is to fix squeaky hinges, and most importantly the entry door hinges, as this door represents how "chi", wealth, and opportunity enters your life. Another tip, is to enter from the Front Door entry rather than a side door, or rear door (I know my family, we tend to always use the back door, woops!) Entering the home through entrances other than the front door, could limit good energy opportunities from coming into your home. Remember, the entry door represents how "chi" enters the home and life.

Water is a very important element in Feng Shui. It represents wealth. Adding water elements, such as fountains, ponds, fishbowls, and aquariums, can help enhance the water element and wealth in our homes, especially near the entry way to the home. Just make sure the water is flowing toward the center of the home. Along with this idea, is the Feng Shui concept, of keeping bathroom doors, and toilet seats closed, as this is where the water element leaves our home. If water represents wealth, these are the areas where wealth symbolically is "flushed away." Keeping these areas covered, reduces the energetic effect.

"Chi" or energy is a very important concept in Feng Shui. One tip is to reduce "dead" energy and spots in our homes (areas that tend to gather dust, and have very little moving energy) by placing vibrant plants in those areas. One recommended area, for example, is the space above cabinets. By placing plants in these "dead" areas, it keeps the "chi" flowing, where it could otherwise get stagnant, and "stuck."

One of the most important pieces of furniture in Feng Shui is the Bed, because we spend so much time sleeping. Placing your bed in a commanding position, by facing it toward the door, but not directly in line with it, will energetically increase your "command," in life.

If you are having difficulty sleeping, perhaps it is from a TV in the bedroom. Feng Shui suggests, that if there is a TV or other electronics in the room, you should cover them up. This reduces the overstimulating qualities these electronics tend to exude, and it may help you to get a better sleep. Try a beautiful scarf or fabric.

Clean your windows! Feng Shui sees windows as the eyes to the world. It is suggested that you keep your windows clean to enhance your clarity to the world, and also to brighten your space.

Lastly, Feng Shui suggests doing regular "space clearing." Over time, the energies in a space tend to imprint, and become stagnant. In order to increase the flow of "chi," it is recommended that you burn sage, or spray essential oils and water, to "clear the space," of any stagnant energy, and to invite fresh "chi," to the space.
